Dear UK APA Client
We are writing to inform you of a recently identified issue impacting the FIX interface for UK APA clients following the production release 15th November 2025.

Issue Description
We have discovered that Ack (AR) messages sent to submitting firms currently include tag 24384, which denotes the “Effective date of the contract”, on derivative trades. This tag was inadvertently enabled ahead of the regulatory changes due to come into force on 1 December 2025. As a result, you may have noticed the presence of this tag in your FIX message flow earlier than anticipated.

Services impacted:
This issue affects UK APA clients submitting derivative trades via the FIX interface. The inclusion of tag 24384 does not impact the processing or publication of trade reports, but we recognise that it may cause confusion or disrupt your standard workflows.

Remediation
We are treating this as a priority, and an emergency bug fix is being planned to remove tag 24384 from Ack (AR) messages until the regulatory changes take effect.

We will provide you with a further update as soon as the fix has been successfully implemented.

Interim Guidance
In the meantime, if you are unable to process AR FIX messages with tag 24384 and would like to verify your submissions, we recommend using the Insight platform as an alternative.

What is not impacted
Firms that report to the EU APA remain unaffected.
Firms who upload via MQ, CSV or the Insight UI directly.
